Socially Recycled

We are always looking for beautiful products from companies that are committed to people and the environment in one way or another. We became very enthusiastic when we were introduced to i-did. This Utrecht organization helps people find work and produces sustainable, social design products such as bags and accessories. A method that fits exactly with our story: eco and social.

I-did is committed to a social and circular society. Socially, by guiding people to work who have been unemployed for a very long time or have not had a job before. They receive coaching and guidance on the work floor from i-did. On average, 70% of their employees move on to paid work.

Circular, because they work with products made from recycled felt. All their products are made from high-quality felt that is made from clothing that is no longer wearable and would otherwise be thrown away. Each piece of felt is therefore unique and shows the character of the original clothing.

I-did works with large companies. For example, the organization made products from old KLM company clothing, created felt from remnants of IKEA textiles and three felt colors were developed in the characteristic colors of the worn-out clothing from Efteling.
