Tips4Trips: (Night) Safari in the Netherlands!
Safari in the Netherlands!
When you think of a safari, you naturally think of Africa or another country outside Europe, where wild animals live and you drive through vast savannahs. But did you know that you don't have to look that far?
In our own country you come quite close to this adventurous image...
Take Drenthe for example; beautiful, sometimes even wild landscapes, beautiful forests... And wild animals such as foxes, snakes, beavers, badgers, deer and birds of prey!
Now you are of course very curious about what a day of safari looks like. Here it comes:
In collaboration with Staatsbosbeheer, a route has been set out through the Hondsrug of Drenthe that you can drive through in silence in about 3 hours.
You drive your own small jeep (electric of course) through the nature reserve behind the guide.
We will stop at special places where the guide will tell you more about the slopes of the Hondsrug and its history.
Is this trip not adventurous enough for you? You can also do a tour in the dark!
More information and practical tips for this Eco&Social outing:
- Wear warm clothes (maybe a raincoat), because you are in an open car
- If you don't have a driver's license but would like to experience such a great adventure, you can also rent electric mopeds!
- You can make a reservation on the website www.eko-tours.nl
- Here is their address: Valtherweg 1 in Exloo
